"Manic, unflinching and deeply impactful."
- Northern Arts Review

Bears Bears Bears by Natalie Beech

is a fierce, funny and unflinching dark comedy inspired by the viral question: would you rather be alone in the woods with a man or a bear?

After a shocking act of violence, the death of feminist Jen leaves more questions than answers. As her partner Jake and his long-lost university flame, Jodi, retrace the past, a fractured story unfolds - revealing the choices, compromises and buried truths that led them here.

Wild, electric and unsettling, Bears Bears Bears is feminist play exploring the compromises we make in relationships, nature versus nurture, and what it means to be a woman today.

Winner of Divided Culture Co's inaugural DCC Playwriting Prize (2025), Natalie Beech's debut play premiered to sold-out audiences at CONTACT Theatre in 2026 and will return for a UK tour in autumn 2027.
