DIVIDED CULTURE CO.
Since 2020, we've been working from the ground up. As two (very) Northern working-class lads, We [Dan and Connor] met over our joint love for the arts with little to show for it and collaborated on our first project 'Toxic' at the Manchester Fringe Festival in 2021.
Since then, we've come a long way - through film, theatre, creative engagement and the rest. As we start to scale-up operations as a charitable organisation, we're proud to present our strategy:
DARE TO INNOVATE:
Curating theatre with/for marginalised communities
Consisting of a three year development plan, aimed at supporting individuals from under-served areas across the North West.
Working with new project partners, funders and sponsors - we're delivering a radical plan that we'd really appreciate support with!

DCC PLAYWRITING PRIZE WINNER 2025
BEARS BEARS BEARS BY NATALIE BEECH
The 2025 DCC Playwriting Prize winner has been announced as Natalie Beech, for her play Bears Bears Bears.
Manchester-based, Natalie is a scriptwriter with work spanning theatre, television, audio and film. In 2022, she won the Channel 4 Wriitng for Television Award. As a playwright, her debut play Collegiate had sold-out runs in London and Leicester.
Dan Lovatt, Artistic Director of Divided Culture Co. said: 'The panel were blown away by the amount of submissions. The quality and originality of stories our regional writing community have shown is phenomenal. Every single writer should be proud of their achievements. As always, our door is never closed. Let's keep conversations going and chat with us. Congratulations to our fantastic winner, Natalie'.
The DCC Playwriting Prize will return in early 2027.
