As part of Divided Culture Co's commitment to generating original work and championing new artists - a micro-commission has been set up to enhance the relationship between the company and local artists. As part of their Dare to Innovate strategy, £1000 will be awarded to one winning writer.

BEARS BEARS BEARS

The synopsis reads 'after committing a violent act with her partner Jake, feminist Jen becomes obsessed with a survey asking women if they'd rather be alone in a forest with a man or a bear'.
Natalie is a Manchester based scriptwriter. In 2022, she won the Channel 4 Writing for Television Award. Since then, she's been selected for programmes like BBC Voices and has been awarded BFI funding for her short Cass and Roya. Her debut play Collegiate enjoyed sold-out runs across the UK.
Bears Bears Bears will make its world premiere at CONTACT Theatre Manchester in May 2026.
